Select your control device and plug it into the BLACK socket of Power Genie™. Recommended control devices:- Computer system = Main Computer tower (CPU) Home Entertainment = Amplifier Television = VCR
Make sure the control device is OFF. When using remote controlled devices, turn the device on via its own power switch and then turn it off using the remote control.
Plug all other devices (via a power board if required) into the GREEN socket of Power Genie™.
Insert the BLACK plug of Power Genie™ into the wall outlet.
Check that the thumbwheel is rotated fully away from the RED & GREEN lights. (Both lights must be off)
Adjust the thumbwheel slowly until the GREEN light just illuminates. Power Genie™ is now set.
Turn ON your control device. (Via the remote if used) The RED light will illuminate and all other devices will turn on.
Turn OFF your control device. (Via remote if used) The RED light will go out and all other devices will turn off.
